How fees work
Five answers to what people ask before they book, in plain words.
Insurance we work with
Some clinicians are in network with some PPO plans, and the others are out of network. When we send your matches we say which applies to your plan, so you know before you book.
Some PPO plans, in network
All other plans, out of network
If you pay yourself
You get the fee for each session in writing before you start. It depends on the clinician and the length of the session. Two clinicians keep reduced-fee spots, so ask for one when you write to us. We take cards, including HSA and FSA cards.
Receipts for reimbursement
Each month we give you an itemized receipt (a superbill) to send to your plan, which may repay part of out-of-network care. It lists a diagnosis code your insurer can see, and your plan decides whether it pays anything. Ask your plan before you begin.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate of what your care will cost before you start. We give you one in writing before your first session. If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you can dispute it. The estimate is not a contract.
Checking your benefits
If you ask, we check your benefits before the first session and tell you what we find. For out-of-network benefits, call your plan and ask about out-of-network mental health services. Our front desk can give you the words to use.
More on paying
Which clinicians take my insurance?
Eight clinicians are in network with some PPO plans. Two take self-pay with reduced-fee spots, and two take self-pay with a monthly receipt. Tell us your plan and we say which applies before you book.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Can I use an HSA or FSA card?
Yes. We take cards, including HSA and FSA cards, and we give a receipt you can send to your plan.
